When the directions in the hair dye kit tell you to do a color test first to see if you have any reactions, you probably should do so. They obviously put those few lines in there for a reason. Doing a test is a good warning system. It lets you know if your scalp turns a lovely shade of Halloween-orange in the aftermath.

So sorry!!! Have you ever tried henna? There's black, brown, chestnut, and red. I've been using the brown from Lush, its great, natural, and never turned my hair interesting shades of orange!!!
